Cube Reaction Pro

The Cube Reaction Pro is a reliable and versatile hardtail mountain bike - a perfect choice for beginners and slightly more experienced mountain bikers who head into the woods every week and are looking for an impact-resistant bike. The sleekly finished Aluminium Lite frame is nice and stiff, ensuring that all your energy is directly converted into forward speed.

Cube understands that not everyone needs the same wheel size and, therefore, uses a Size Split. If you are in the smaller sizes (XS or S), you will get an agile bike with 27.5 inch wheels. If you need a size M, L or XL, your bike will roll on fast 29 inch wheels.

Aluminium Lite frame
The frame of the Reaction Pro MTB is made from double-butted aluminium, which means the tubes are thicker at the welds for more strength, and thinner in the middle to save weight. The gear and brake cables are neatly routed internally through the headset. This gives the bike a clean look and protects the cables from mud, sand and water so they can function smoothly for longer.

RockShox Recon Silver suspension fork
Using a shock pump, you can easily customise the air suspension RockShox fork to suit your body weight. When approaching a long straight stretch or starting a heavy climb on tarmac, simply press the PopLoc button on your handlebars to lock out the suspension and prevent a loss of energy due to the fork compressing.

• The frame has a Flat Mount (FM) kickstand mount so you can easily and securely attach a compatible Cube or ACID kickstand.
• There are also mounting points for bottle cages.
• The rims and Schwalbe tyres are tubeless-ready.

• Tubeless valves and sealant if you want to ride tubeless.

• To continue benefiting from optimal damping and comfort, use a specialised shock pump to check the air pressure in your RockShox fork every month.
• After a ride in wet or muddy conditions, give your Shimano 12-speed drivetrain a thorough clean, and apply a fresh coat of wax or lube to the chain. This will significantly extend the life of the cassette and chain.

What size Cube Reaction Pro should I choose for my height?
The correct size depends on your body height and inside leg measurement. Generally speaking, if you are up to about 1.65 m tall, you should choose a size XS or S (with 27.5 inch wheels). If you are 1.70 m or taller, you will need a size M, L or XL (with 29 inch wheels). In our Superstores, we can take your exact measurements to ensure a perfect fit.

Does the Cube Reaction Pro MTB come with pedals?
Yes, basic pedals (ACID PP MTB) are supplied as standard with the Cube Reaction Pro. However, for high-intensity mountain biking in the woods, we recommend replacing these with sturdier flat pedals or SPD clipless pedals for more grip and efficiency.

What is the difference between the Cube Reaction Pro and the Cube Reaction SLX mountain bikes?
The Cube Reaction SLX is the higher-end version of the Cube Reaction Pro. Whereas the Pro is fitted with standard Shimano brakes and ACID wheels, the SLX features more powerful Shimano XT brakes and a significantly lighter Newmen Performance wheelset. As a result, the SLX is a bit lighter overall (13.3 kg compared to 14.0 kg). If you are looking for the highest performance and braking power, choose the SLX. For reliable all-round use, the Pro is an excellent choice.

Can I install a kickstand on the Cube Reaction Pro mountain bike?
Yes, the frame of the Reaction Pro has a Flat Mount (FM) kickstand mount at the rear that allows you to attach a compatible Cube or ACID bike stand easily and neatly.
